LITTLE FALLS, Minn. (AP) - An ATV operator has been arrested under suspicion of driving drunk in connection with an all-terrain vehicle crash on a central Minnesota trail that killed a woman.

The Star Tribune reports that the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office says the rollover occurred Saturday on the Soo-Line Trail in Pierz Township.

Emergency responders say Karla Scheel was pinned under the ATV. They pronounced the mother of seven dead at the scene.

Eric Scholl was charged Monday of being drunk when he crashed the ATV. A sheriff’s deputy who responded to the crash says Scholl smelled of alcohol, was unsteady on his feet and had bloodshot and watery eyes.

The criminal complaint says another passenger in the ATV told authorities that the group had been drinking at a bar before they left together.
