DETROIT (AP) - Two Detroit police officers face home invasion and other charges after a house was entered without a search warrant.
The Detroit News reports that officer Bradley Clark and Sgt. Paul Glaza were arraigned last week. They have been suspended. Pretrial conferences are Friday.
Tashar Cornelius says two officers came to the west side home on Jan. 22 looking for another man who wasn’t there. Cornelius says he told the officers they had no right to be there without a search warrant and closed the door.
Cornelius says the door was kicked in and he was arrested.
Attorney Matthew Forrest tells The Associated Press that he and his client, Clark, are “shocked” by the charges and intend to fight them.
The AP left a message Monday seeking comment from Glaza’s attorney.
