The Latest on the NFL’s Week 5 (all times EDT):

___

Cairo Santos got to redeem himself and keep the Los Angeles Rams undefeated on an ugly day for kickers around the NFL.

Santos had the fourth missed extra point of Sunday with a chance to tie it up at 31 for the Rams early in the fourth quarter in Seattle after a touchdown. The kicker got a chance to kick again with 6:05 left, and he connected on a 39-yard field goal giving Los Angeles a 33-31 lead that helped the Rams seal the victory.

The Rams now are 5-0 and the NFL’s only undefeated team along with the Kansas City Chiefs (5-0).

Nobody had a worse day than Packers kicker Mason Crosby who not only clanked an extra point off an upright, but he also missed four field goals.

The 49ers tried to avoid testing their kicker by going for the 2-point conversion in the first quarter, but Arizona stopped the run short. San Francisco also went for 2 on the 49ers’ second TD down 14-12 in the fourth quarter. C.J. Beathard’s pass failed.

Then there was Dan Bailey, the kicker surprisingly cut by Dallas in final roster cuts in September. He kicked a 52-yard field goal for Minnesota with 2:47 left that gave the Vikings the winning margin in a 23-21 victory in Philadelphia.

6:40 p.m.

The Los Angeles Rams are without wide receivers Brandin Cooks and Cooper Kupp as both are evaluated for concussions.

Cooks was injured on a big hit from Seattle safety Tedric Thompson late in the first half and appeared to be knocked out as he hit the turf.

Kupp was in on the final play of the first half - a desperation throw into the end zone that Thompson intercepted. But Kupp did not rejoin his teammates to start the third quarter. The team announced he was being evaluated for a concussion.

He had six catches for 90 yards and a TD in the first half.

6:25 p.m.

The Seattle Seahawks have scored on the first drive of the second half to take 24-17 lead over the Los Angeles Rams.

Russell Wilson has two TD passes, the latest a 3-yard throw to David Moore to cap a 75-yard drive to open the second half. Wilson also hit Tyler Lockett on a 39-yard TD in the first half.

Los Angeles QB Jared Goff threw for 216 yards and a touchdown in the first half but was intercepted twice. It’s his first multi-interception game since Week 5 of last year. The Rams lost that game to Seattle.

5:15 p.m.

The unbeaten Los Angeles Rams have a lead over the Seahawks, just not the lead they thought they had.

First, Todd Gurley scored on a touchdown run, then new kicker Cairo Santos added a short field goal for a 10-7 lead. Los Angeles appeared to take a 13-7 lead when Gurley took a shovel pass from Jared Goff and scored, but on review he was ruled down at the 1. Gurley was stuffed on third-and-goal, and the Rams settled for Santos’ 19-yard field goal.

Seattle took an early 7-0 lead over the Rams thanks to a goal-line interception and Mike Davis’ 6-yard TD run.

The Rams were poised to jump on top following a blocked punt, but Jared Goff’s pass for Todd Gurley in the end zone was deflected by Seattle cornerback Tre Flowers and picked off by defensive end Frank Clark. It was the second red-zone interception of the season for Goff.

Seattle used the turnover to its advantage, and Davis capped a nine-play drive with his third touchdown in two games.

5:00 p.m.

Other than Graham Gano who made a career-best 63-yard field goal with 1 second remaining to lift the Panthers over the Giants, NFL kickers are having a rough day - no one worse than Green Bay’s Mason Crosby.

He missed four field goals in a game for the first time in his 12-year career, plus he also failed on an extra point. The usually reliable kicker hadn’t missed two attempts in a game in nearly five years and has missed just three of 29 field goal attempts in the postseason for his career. Mason came in having made 10 of 11 field goals this season.

Crosby had plenty of company.

-Chris Boswell missed the extra point in Pittsburgh after the Steelers’ first touchdown- the third he’s missed this season.

- Browns kicker Greg Joseph clanked an extra point off the right upright, the third extra point missed by Cleveland this season. The rookie then pulled a 55-yard field goal for the win left with 5 seconds left in regulation.

- Ravens kicker Justin Tucker had a 48-yard field goal attempt blocked by Cleveland rookie Denzel Ward on the final play of the first half.

- Cincinnati kicker Randy Bullock had a 37-yard field goal try blocked by Vincent Taylor of Miami in the second quarter.

- The Bills botched a field goal late in the first half - either it was a blown fake or an issue getting the ball down for the kick. Corey Bojorquez stood up after taking the snap and tried a short pass back to kicker Stephen Hauschka under pressure from Brynden Trawick of the Titans.

- Detroit Lions kicker Matt Prater missed a 55-yard field goal, badly, sending the football way right. The miss gave Green Bay the ball at its 45 in the third quarter with a chance to cut into its 24-8 deficit. Prater did make a 39-yard kick in the second quarter that helped the Lions lead 24-0 at halftime.

- Atlanta’s Matt Bosher had a punt blocked late in the third quarter when Pittsburgh’s Roosevelt Nix bulldozed in.

___

2:50 p.m. The Detroit Lions have forced mistakes and taken advantage of some, helping them lead the Green Bay Packers 24-0 at halftime.

Two-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers lost two of Green Bay’s three fumbles over the first two quarters. The superstar quarterback has lost two fumbles in a game for just the third time in his 14-year career.

And, Mason Crosby missed three field goals for the first time in his 12-year career.

Detroit’s LeGarrette Blount ran for a pair of 1-yard touchdowns in the first quarter. Matthew Stafford connected with Marvin Jones for an 8-yard TD with 15 seconds left in the first half.

2:45 p.m.

Tennessee Titans starting left tackle Taylor Lewan has not returned for the start of the second half against Buffalo after hurting his foot late in the second quarter.

Lewan was not spotted on the sideline, and he was replaced by Tyler Marz. The Titans listed Lewan’s return as being questionable. He’s a two-time Pro Bowl selection and missed Tennessee’s second game of the season with a concussion that knocked him out of the season opener.

2:20 p.m.

Odell Beckham Jr. finally has a touchdown - passing that is.

Beckham, who has been openly critical of the Giants’ offense this season, caught a lateral from Eli Manning and lobbed a long pass down the other side of the field to a wide-open Saquon Barkley, who outran Panthers linebacker Jermaine Carter Jr. to the end zone for a 57-yard score , cutting Carolina’s lead to 17-10 in the second quarter.

Beckham celebrated the TD wildly on the sideline.

He has had an active day with three catches for 45 yards but still doesn’t have a touchdown catch this season.

- Steve Reed reporting from Charlotte, North Carolina.

2:20 p.m.

The Jaguars are down to two healthy running backs after Corey Grant left their game against Kansas City with a foot injury. Leonard Fournette was already inactive with a hamstring injury.

The Chiefs are in similar shape at outside linebacker, where Justin Houston is questionable to return with a hamstring injury and Tanoh Kpassagnon is questionable with an ankle injury.

Despite heavy rain, the field has held up remarkably well at Arrowhead Stadium, and only a couple of players had slipped as the Chiefs built a 13-0 lead late in the first half.

- Dave Skretta reporting from Kansas City.

___

2:15 p.m.

Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby has missed three field goals in a game for the first time in his 12-year career.

Crosby pulled a 41-yard attempt to the left in the first quarter. He hit the right upright on a 42-yard kick and missed one to the right in the second quarter.

The usually reliable kicker had made 10 of 11 field goals this season and hadn’t missed two attempts in a game in nearly five years. He has missed just three of 29 field goal attempts in his postseason career.

Mason’s misses helped the Lions lead 17-0 late in the second quarter.

- Larry Lage reporting from Detroit.

___

2:10 p.m.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has finally thrown his first interception this season.

Mahomes dropped back to pass with 4:21 left in the first half against Jacksonville, and his throw over the middle sailed high. The Jaguars’ Tashaun Gipson, who boasted this week about becoming the first to intercept the Chiefs quarterback, was there to haul it in.

Mahomes threw a pick in his only start last year at Denver, but the first-year starter had thrown 14 touchdown passes without an interception this season.

- Dave Skretta reporting from Kansas City.

___

1:45 p.m.

Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey is back after taking a knee to the helmet early against Kansas City, but his return hasn’t exactly helped the league’s top-ranked defense.

The Chiefs drove 73 yards for a touchdown on their first possession, then marched 82 yards for a field goal on their second. They lead the Jaguars 10-0 early in the second quarter.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is 10 of 16 for 110 yards and has run for 15 yards and a touchdown. Sammy Watkins has three catches for 51 yards after being questionable with a hamstring injury.

- Dave Skretta reporting from Kansas City.

___

1:25 p.m.

Pro Bowl cornerback Jalen Ramsey has left the Jaguars’ game against Kansas City after taking a knee to the helmet while tackling Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce in the first quarter.

Ramsey lay for a moment before walking off without any help, and he watched Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes scramble for a touchdown two plays later.

It was the first score allowed by Jacksonville’s top-ranked defense on an opponent’s opening possession this season, and only the fifth TD the Jaguars have allowed overall.

- Dave Skretta reporting from Kansas City.

___

1:20 p.m.

The Tennessee Titans have given up their first points in the first quarter this season, and it came after losing their first fumble of the season.

Buffalo Bills rookie quarterback Josh Allen capped an 11-play 47-yard drive by diving headfirst into the end zone on a 14-yard scramble.

The scoring drive was set up after rookie linebacker Tremaine Edmunds stripped the ball from receiver Taywan Taylor, and the fumble was recovered by Matt Milano.

The Titans had not lost a fumble this season. And they had combined to outscore their opponents 23-0 in the first quarter this season.

- John Wawrow reporting from Orchard Park, New York.

___

12:45 p.m.

Weather could be an issue in Kansas City, where Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs’ high-flying offense will face the Jacksonville Jaguars’ top-ranked defense at soggy Arrowhead Stadium.

Rain fell all morning, and at one point warmups were interrupted for a couple of minutes. But mostly it’s just a gray, drizzling mess that could make footing tricky and passing difficult.

That could be good news for the Jaguars, who have the league’s No. 1 pass defense. But then again, the Chiefs still have the NFL’s reigning rushing champ, Kareem Hunt, ready to roll.

- Dave Skretta reporting from Kansas City.

New York Jets defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers is not with the team for its game against the Denver Broncos as he deals with what coach Todd Bowles has called a “serious” illness.

Bowles is expected to call the defensive plays from the sideline Sunday.

Neither Bowles nor the team has provided any details on the illness sidelining the 49-year-old Rodgers. It’s unclear when he might be able to return to work.

Rodgers was scheduled to meet with reporters Thursday for his weekly news conference, but the team said he had a medical appointment and would speak the next day. On Friday, a visibly concerned Bowles announced that Rodgers was sick and not at the facility.

When asked if Rodgers was dealing with something serious, Bowles responded: “He’s a tough guy. It’s a serious thing.”
