WESTMORE, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police are seeking a man who’s accused of ransacking a home and nearly running over a woman who called 911.

The woman said she was out for a walk Saturday when she saw a suspicious man behind an abandoned home in the town of Westmore.

She said the man fled into the woods, then returned and claimed to be a different man. She said the man sped off in a car and nearly hit her when she threatened to call police.

Vermont State Police say the home was ransacked and they want to question the man, who sped away in a gold Buick with the license plan EWA123.
