NASHUA, N.H. (AP) - Rivier University is launching two new business degrees in fields that are expected to grow rapidly in coming years.

The Nashua school will add undergraduate degrees next fall in sports management and cybersecurity management. Officials say they reflect both student interest and projected U.S. employment demands, as jobs in both disciplines are expected to grow 10 to 28 percent by 2026.

Graduates of the sports management program may pursue careers as game-day coordinators, athletic administrators or facility operations managers.

The cybersecurity program will prepare graduates for roles as information security officers, forensic computer analysis and other positions.

To go along with the new programs, the university is building a new high-tech Science Center and is breaking ground next week on a new Athletics Pavilion.
