PHOENIX (AP) - Police say one woman is dead after she and her boyfriend were tied up in their Phoenix motel room.

Sgt. Tommy Thompson says the boyfriend called 911 Sunday morning to the motel and officers found his girlfriend dead at the scene.

She has been identified as 29-year-old Tiffani Sellys. No details were given about the manner of Sellys’ death.

According to investigators, the boyfriend says the couple fought with people visiting them. The couple was then bound before the boyfriend was able to escape.

He suffered minor injuries.
