SEATTLE (AP) - A second Washington state boy has died from injuries sustained in a car crash in late August.

The Seattle Times reports 13-year-old Nico Luiggi died Monday following the Aug. 27 rollover wreck near Cle Elum, about 80 miles (129 kilometers) southeast of Seattle.

The boy’s parents say he sustained a traumatic brain injury and never woke up.

The wreck killed a fellow Hamilton International Middle School student, 12-year-old Max Cohen. Two other boys were also injured, and one remains hospitalized.

Kittitas County prosecutors have charged the car’s driver, one of the boy’s father, with one count of vehicular homicide and three counts of vehicular assault.

Washington State Patrol Trooper Brian Moore said in August that there was evidence he was driving under the influence of prescription medication.
