NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (AP) - President Donald Trump’s son Eric Trump has stopped in upstate New York to campaign for incumbent Republican Rep. Claudia Tenney.
The Observer-Dispatch of Utica reports the younger Trump stopped at Tenney’s campaign office in New Hartford Tuesday.
Trump discussed North Korea and the battle against ISIS, claiming the country is “winning at absolutely everything we do.”
He also praised Tenney for voting in approval of the federal tax overhaul.
Tenney and Trump took a tour of the Revere Copper rolling mill in Rome before the meeting.
Tenney’s Democratic competitor Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi’s campaign questioned her use of the first family for her campaign.
Brindisi’s campaign manager said Tuesday that people are “all but begging” the congresswoman to discuss issues such as health care, Social Security and increasing cable rates.
