PORT JEFFERSON STATION, N.Y. (AP) - Three men have been indicted on charges they used a Long Island barbershop to sell hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of illegal drugs.

A 53-count indictment unsealed Wednesday charged the men with using the Man Cave barbershop in Port Jefferson Station to sell $50,000 worth of heroin, cocaine and fentanyl a month.

District Attorney Thomas Sini said the drug sales went on while legitimate customers got haircuts.

Prosecutors said the men frequently sold fentanyl to buyers who thought they were getting heroin.

Charged in the indictment were 41-year-old Juan Lopez-Enriquez, 64-year-old Santiago Tavarez and 33-year-old Carlos Encarnacion.

Prosecutors said Lopez-Enriquez was the manager of the shop and Tavarez was a barber.

Newsday reports that all three pleaded not guilty at their arraignments. Information on their attorneys was not available.
