MACON, Miss. (AP) - Corrections officials say two inmates are missing from a county work center in Mississippi.

The Mississippi Department of Corrections said the two men escaped around 7:45 p.m. Sunday from the Noxubee County Transitional Center in Macon.

The agency told news outlets that Christopher Parmenter was convicted of burglary in Marshall County.

Andrew Carter was convicted of burglary in Union County.

Sheriff Terry Grassaree said his officers are looking for the men.
