HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - An employee at a Hartford waste collection and recycling center had to be freed by emergency crews after getting trapped in some industrial equipment.

Hartford Police and emergency responders were called to All Waste Inc. on Saturday morning for a report of two trapped workers. WFSB-TV reports that one employee was free from the equipment by the time crews had arrived.

The second employee was pinned from the waist down.

A fire official tells the WFSB-TV it was a complex and technically difficult rescue that took 45 minutes to complete. The worker was stabilized and taken to Hartford Hospital.
