SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - A 34-year old man suspected of stabbing an Uber driver last month in Northern California has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
The Mercury News reports Friday that the suspect identified as Adam Whitney Stone of San Jose, Calif. was arrested Thursday.
The California Highway Patrol says the stabbing happened during morning rush hour Sept. 26 after the Uber driver, who was not identified, had an argument with a female driver on Highway 87. The woman drove off but a male driver then approached the Uber car, prompting both drivers to pull onto the shoulder of the road and step out of their cars.
CHP says the man stabbed the Uber driver in the abdomen and drove off.
The report said the Uber driver’s condition was not known.
