NEW HAVEN, Ind. (AP) - A company that designs and makes cutting and grinding products and custom tooling in northeastern Indiana is planning to more than double its workforce.

The Journal Gazette reports Continental Diamond Tool plans to invest $5.5 million in real estate improvements and new equipment in New Haven, adding about 150 jobs.

The equipment investment includes nearly $3.6 million in manufacturing equipment and $625,000 in research, development and information technology equipment.

The company currently has 135 employees. It may qualify for tax abatements as part of its expansion plans.
