LAS VEGAS (AP) - Former President Barack Obama will hold a rally in Nevada next week to urge residents to vote early and drum up enthusiasm for Democrats running in close races for U.S. Senate, governor and the U.S. House of Representatives.
The Nevada State Democratic Party announced Monday that Obama will appear in Las Vegas on Oct. 22 at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Obama is expected to speak about the advantages of Nevada’s early voting, which starts Oct. 20 and runs through Nov. 2.
Obama won Nevada during his 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns.
The event will be open to the public but members of the public must get tickets. Ticketing information was not yet available Monday.
