JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Frontier Airlines begins flying to Mississippi’s largest airport on Saturday.
The first flights will be to Frontier’s hub in Denver. On Oct. 22, Frontier will begin flights to Orlando, Florida.
The Denver-based economy airline announced in July that it would begin serving Jackson Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport.
Flights to Denver will generally be two days a week. Flights to Orlando will generally be three days a week.
Frontier becomes the fifth carrier to serve Jackson, in addition to American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and Via Airlines.
Via began service between Jackson and another central Florida Airport - Orlando Sanford International Airport - on June 11.
