JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Austin Day threw for two touchdowns in the final quarter as Marist charged back to knock off Jacksonville 20-17 on Saturday.

Jacksonville dominated the first half, taking a 14-0 lead into the break, but Marist battled back to take its first lead late in the fourth quarter.

Trailing 17-7 in the final quarter, Day hit David Shannon III on a 14-yarder that he fumbled into end zone. Ethan Carpenter recovered to close to 17-13 after the Red Foxes missed the extra point.

Day then hit Jon Kanda with the winning score from 13 yards out with 4:22 left.

Brandon Miller intercepted Calvin Turner Jr. on Jacksonville’s ensuing drive and Marist held the Dolphins on downs on their final possession.

Day threw for 153 yards on 12-of-15 passing. Darryn Jordan rushed for 124 yards and a score for Marist (2-4, 2-1 Pioneer League) which has won two of its last three after opening the season with three straight losses.

Turner was just 3-of-13 passing for 61 yards but ran for 167 yards on 23 carries for Jacksonville (1-4, 0-3).
