NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Carolyn Peck is leaving the Vanderbilt women’s basketball staff to return to broadcasting.
Vanderbilt coach Stephanie White announced Friday that Peck is stepping down to resume her broadcasting career at ESPN.
Peck said in a statement that “the decision to go back to ESPN is not an easy one, but it’s the right one.”
Peck, who played for Vanderbilt from 1984-88, had spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach on White’s staff. Peck previously was head coach at Purdue (1997-99) and Florida (2002-07) as well as with the WNBA’s Orlando Miracle. She also spent nine years as an ESPN college basketball analyst.
Peck coached White at Purdue, where they helped the Boilermakers win the 1999 national title.
