Fox News’ Chris Wallace told his audience on Wednesday that standing in solidarity with other journalists is sometimes put to the test when it comes to CNN’s Jim Acosta.
The host of “Fox News Sunday” told colleague Dana Perino that it is “awfully hard” to stand behind Mr. Acosta because of the journalist’s ongoing antics. CNN’s chief White House had his “hard pass” pulled on Wednesday after an argument with President Trump, along with his reluctance to give a microphone to a White House intern.
“I think he embarrassed himself,” Mr. Wallace said, Mediaite reported. “First of all, it was more of an argument than it was a question. He was disrespectful to his colleagues in asking repeated questions and, thereby, making it harder for them to get in a question.”
“Then the President of the United States told him to sit down, and he refused, and he kept talking,” he continued. “I’ve got to say, Jim Acosta makes it awfully hard to have journalistic solidarity on something like this. … What do the bosses at CNN see as their mission? In this particular case is it to cover the news, or is it to make a scene?”
Mr. Wallace’s comments came in addition to an expression of thanks for CNN’s decision to stand behind Fox News during access arguments years ago with former President Obama.
Mr. Acosta also made national headlines in September when he became argumentative with Mr. Trump over the desire to have a female reporter picked for questions.

“If you don’t mind, after I’m finished, if … one of our female colleagues could go after me, that would be great. Mr. President, just to follow up on these allegations against Brett Kavanaugh —” Mr. Acosta said Sept. 26.
“What does he mean by that?” the president replied. “Explain. What does that mean? … I wouldn’t mind that at all. Wouldn’t mind at all. Wouldn’t make any difference to me. Go ahead.”
“The Late Show” host Stephen Colbert mocked Mr. Acosta during a subsequent show for his “d—k move.”
“We get it, you’re woke,” the liberal comedian said.
