STAMFORD, N.Y. (AP) - State police say a man killed his estranged wife in her upstate New York home before killing himself with a gun.

Troopers say they responded around 2 p.m. Tuesday to a 911 call from Christopher German’s employer who became concerned after he didn’t show up for work.

Troopers say they found the 57-year-old South Kortright resident and his 52-year-old wife Lisa both death inside her home in the Delaware County town of Stamford, 45 miles (72 kilometers) southwest of Albany.

Police say Christopher German died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound from a .38 caliber revolver.

Troopers haven’t said how Lisa German died.
