President Trump extended an olive branch Wednesday to the new Democratic House majority, saying he’s ready to work with them to sustain the “American economic miracle.”

He called for unity and said he thought they had a “very good chance” of achieving it.

“It really could be a beautiful bipartisan type of situation,” Mr. Trump said at a post-election press conference at the White House.

“Now is the time for members of both parties to come together, put partisanship aside and keep the American economic miracle going strong,” he said.

He cited common ground with Democrats on an infrastructure plan and health care, later adding that there was even room for agreement on a border wall.
