The Washington Redskins activated defensive lineman Stacy McGee off the Physically Unable to Perform list on Tuesday and waived safety Kenny Ladler.

After starting 10 games for the Redskins in 2017, McGee, 28, opened this season on the PUP list after suffering a groin injury in the offseason. McGee first returned to practice on Oct. 17 and Washington had three weeks to either activate, release or place him on injured reserve.

McGee figures to be a rotational lineman for the Redskins, with starters Daron Payne, Jonathan Allen and Matt Ioannidis seeing most of the playing time. The move now gives Washington six defensive linemen on its roster.

The Redskins signed McGee to a five-year, $25 million deal in March 2017.

Washington also signed tackle Jarron Jones to its practice squad and released tackle Justin Evans.
