The Washington Redskins could be without their Pro Bowl right guard for a while.
According to the NFL Network, Brandon Scherff is “believed” to have suffered a torn pectoral Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. The Redskins are awaiting Scherff’s MRI results to confirm the diagnosis.
#Redskins stellar guard Brandon Scherff is believed to have suffered a torn pec based on the initial diagnosis, sources say. He has an MRI today, but would be a significant loss.

In the third quarter, Scherff went down and immediately grabbed his shoulder. He did not return and at the time, the 26-year-old was listed with a shoulder injury.
If Scherff is out for the year, that would be a devastating blow to the Redskins, who are already without Trent Williams (thumb).
