Miami Dolphins running back Frank Gore eclipsed Barry Sanders’ career total of 18,190 yards from scrimmage on Sunday, moving into sixth place all-time.
Gore is now behind only all-time greats Jerry Rice, Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton, Marshall Faulk and LaDainian Tomlinson in that category.

The new milestone comes in the same season that Gore, 35, passed Curtis Martin for fourth all-time in career rushing yards. Gore entered Sunday with 14,411 rushing yards, behind just Smith, Payton and Sanders.
Gore played 10 seasons for the San Francisco 49ers and three for the Indianapolis Colts before going to Miami last offseason.
