Even without Khalil Mack back from an ankle injury yet, the Chicago Bears’ defense is well-equipped to handle Buffalo Bills quarterback Nathan Peterman.

In the first half of their game Sunday, the Bears picked Peterman off twice and hung two defensive touchdowns on Buffalo, one on a Leonard Floyd interception return and another on an Eddie Jackson fumble recovery.

The Chicago defense gifted its fantasy football owners an absurd total of 28 points in fantasy … in the first half.

Peterman became famous for a five-interception performance in his NFL debut last season against the Los Angeles Chargers. In his handful of game appearances this season, he hasn’t been better. He entered Week 9 with a career rate of one interception for every nine pass attempts (11.1 percent).

In fairness to the snakebitten quarterback some have dubbed “The Peter Man,” his interceptions Sunday appeared to be the fault of Bills receivers who don’t remember how to catch a ball safely.
