MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (AP) - One of the nation’s 10 most wanted fugitives has been spotted in South Carolina’s Lowcountry region.
The FBI on Friday confirmed a sighting of Greg Alyn Carlson in Mount Pleasant, near Charleston.
Carlson is suspected of involvement in multiple armed sexual assaults, including a 2017 burglary and sexual assault in Los Angeles. The FBI says DNA evidence links him to sexual assaults back to 2003.
The man has ties to Mount Pleasant. The FBI says that after Carlson fled California, he went to a family home in the South Carolina suburb and left with a stolen handgun, a rental car and a large amount of cash.
The FBI says Carlson is driving a white Hyundai Accent.
A reward of up to $100,000 is offered for information leading to Carlson’s arrest.
