A new commercial by Air New Zealand promotes the company by taking Christmas potshots at President Trump and his supporters.

“Nicest Christmas Ever” gives viewers a three-minute tale in which “naughty” children are accidentally sent Santa Claus’ famous list. They soon hold an Air New Zealand-facilitated summit to discuss ways to quickly change their status.

An American child featuring a red tie and a “Make Christmas Great Again” hat tells his peers that he isn’t naughty at all.

“In fact, I’m the nicest person I know,” he says while the others laugh. “I didn’t expect that reaction, but that’s OK.”

The moment is a spoof of Mr. Trump’s second address to the United Nations in late September. The audience laughed as he boasted about the accomplishments his administration has made in less than two years.

Air New Zealand’s commercial ends with the children on the “nice” list when, for example, children from Argentina vow to do more to “reduce personal gaseous emissions by 27 percent.”
