LOGANSPORT, Ind. (AP) - The Latest on a deadly house fire in rural northern Indiana (all times local):
6:47 p.m.
Police say four children are among the six people whose bodies have been recovered from the rubble of a burned northern Indiana home.
Indiana State Police Sgt. Tony Slocum says the victims of the fire outside Logansport included a 25-year-old woman and her three children, two daughters ages 3 and 1, and a 3-month-old son. The other victims were a 42-year-old man and his 10-year-old daughter.
Slocum says the man’s wife and his adult son survived the fire and were taken to a local hospital. He says the relationship between the two families isn’t clear.
Slocum says the fire was reported about 2 a.m. Wednesday at the rural home about 70 miles (115 kilometers) north of Indianapolis.

Authorities have recovered two more bodies from the rubble of a burned northern Indiana home, bringing the total number to six people.
Indiana State Police Sgt. Tony Slocum tells The Associated Press that crews assisted by cadaver dogs late Wednesday afternoon had found two bodies in addition to those of an adult male, an adult female and two children recovered earlier. He did not know the ages or the genders of the two most recent bodies found.
Slocum says crews still are searching the rubble.
He says the fire was reported about 2 a.m. Wednesday at the rural home about 70 miles (115 kilometers) north of Indianapolis.
Two adults escaped the fire and were taken to a local hospital.

Cass County Sheriff Randy Pryor says the bodies were found in different parts of the rural home about 70 miles (115 kilometers) north of Indianapolis.
Two adults escaped the fire and were taken to a local hospital. Pryor says they’ve been talking to investigators.

Authorities say one body has been found so far in a burned northern Indiana home where officials believe four children and two adults died.
State police Sgt. Tony Slocum said late Wednesday morning that crews were still working to search the house just outside Logansport where the fire was reported about 2 a.m. He didn’t know the age or gender of the person found.
State Fire Marshal James Greeson told reporters that three of his investigators were at the scene to help determine what caused the blaze. He says an excavator was pulling apart the structure so that crews could get inside the house.
Slocum says investigators were considering all possibilities to what led up to the fire about 70 miles (115 kilometers) north of Indianapolis.

Authorities say four children and two adults are unaccounted for following a house fire in rural northern Indiana.
Cass County Sheriff Randy Pryor told reporters at the scene in Logansport that the six are still believed to be inside the home that burned early Wednesday.
Two adults escaped the fire and were taken to the hospital. Pryor says the children inside ranged in age from infancy to 10 years old.
The Cass County coroner is at the home about 70 miles (115 kilometers) north of Indianapolis, but he can’t confirm any deaths until crews have searched what remains of the home.
