CLEVELAND (AP) - Cleveland State athletic director Michael Thomas has resigned after less than two years on the job.

The school announced Wednesday that Thomas has decided to return to consulting. His last day will be Dec. 31. He began at CSU in 2017.

Cleveland State plans to appoint an interim AD before the holiday break and will begin a search for Thomas’ replacement in the new year.

While Thomas was at the school, the Vikings won Horizon League titles in women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s golf and men’s tennis.
