FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) - Sean Hoehn scored 22 points, Cameron Parker posted his first career double-double with 12 points and 10 assists and Sacred Heart defeated Hartford 98-89 Tuesday night, halting a three-game skid.
The Pioneers shot 59 percent from the floor, making 34 of 58 shots with six players scoring in double figures. Jare’L Spellman added 15 points with three blocked shots, Kinnon LaRose scored 14 with nine rebounds, Aaron Clarke had 11 points with four assists and Zach Pfaffenberger scored 10.
The Pioneers (3-4) broke away midway through the first half when Hoehn scored on a drive to spark a 13-2 run. Hartford (2-6) closed to 49-44 early in the second half and stayed within a few baskets until the Pioneers pulled away late in the game.
John Carroll led the Hawks with 26 points, Jason Dunne added 25 and JR Lynch 19. Thirteen of Hartford’s 27 made baskets were 3-pointers.
