JONESPORT, Maine (AP) - The U.S. Coast Guard says two people abandoned ship from a sinking lobster boat off the coast of Maine.
The Portland Press Herald reports the fishing vessel Overtimer sank 11 miles (17 kilometers) off the coast of Jonesport on Sunday.
The Coast Guard says the two people onboard put on “survival suits” before abandoning ship, and they were pulled from the water by a nearby fishing boat, Bad Behavior.
Officials say the survivors did not need medical attention.
The Coast Guard has not identified the people who were on board the Overtimer, citing a pending investigation.
