Jerome Corsi, an associate of Rodger Stone, will refuse a plea deal with the special counsel Robert Mueller.

“They can put me in prison the rest of my life. I am not going to sign a lie,” Mr. Corsi told CNN on Monday.

Later, in an interview with ABC News, Mr. Corsi elaborated on his rejection and said he fully cooperated with the Mueller team.

“The government wants me to plead to lying willfully and knowingly to the special counsel and the FBI, and I did not do that,” he said.

The special counsel also took Paul Manafort, Mr. Trump’s former campaign chairman, to court on Monday for allegedly violating his plea agreement by lying to prosecutors. Mr. Manafort denies the accusation.

On Friday, Mr. Corsi told The Associated Press he negotiating a deal with the special counsel, but did not elaborate on the details.

Mr. Mueller’s team looked into Mr. Corsi, who formerly worked with the conspiracy website InfoWars, because of his connection to WikiLeaks and Rodger Stone.

Investigators are probing Mr. Stone’s, a former Trump campaign aide, ties to WikiLeaks and trying to determine if he knew about the DNC hack before the emails were published.

On November 12, Mr. Corsi said he expected to be indicted by the special counsel’s team on a Youtube livestream, and said he felt they were setting up a “perjury trap” for him.
