BOSTON (AP) - With Democrats back in control of the U.S. House of Representatives, business leaders will be hearing from a member of the Massachusetts delegation about priorities for the next two-year session of Congress.

Democratic U.S. Rep. Joe Kennedy is scheduled to address a meeting of the New England Council in Boston on Monday.

Before anything else, House Democrats must decide whether to elect Nancy Pelosi as speaker. The Massachusetts delegation isn’t united on that question. Kennedy is among those who have expressed support for Pelosi.

Representatives Seth Moulton of Salem and Stephen Lynch of Boston have indicated they want new House leadership.

Kennedy last week also announced he had changed his position and would now support national legalization of marijuana, saying current federal policy on the drug is “badly broken.”
