BOSTON (AP) - An American Airlines flight has struck a bird and been forced to make an emergency landing in Boston.
The Boston Globe reports the Boeing 737 aircraft struck the bird at 7:40 a.m. Saturday morning shortly after takeoff from Boston Logan International Airport.
The Federal Aviation Administration told the Globe the plane had been heading to Miami and made an emergency landing without incident.
The plane is being evaluated and FAA officials are investigating. The flight’s 172 passengers are being rebooked on different flights.
