KEARNEY, Neb. (AP) - Central Community College has received an anonymous donation of $1 million for its nursing programs in Kearney.

The $1 million gift will be allocated over five years and will pay for a full-time certified nursing assistant instructor and provide financial assistance for students at the college’s Kearney Center. The donation also will establish an endowed fund for nursing students.

Employment of registered nurses is projected to grow 15 percent over the next eight years.
