CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire officials say the state’s unemployment rate for October was 2.6 percent, a slight decrease from the September rate.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for October 2017 also was 2.6 percent.

The state estimates that 742,740 people were employed last month, an increase of 1,190 from the previous month and an increase of 15,340 from October 2017. The number of unemployed residents decreased by 520 over the month to 19,730, which was 230 more unemployed than in October 2017.

Nationally, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for October was 3.7 percent, unchanged from the September rate. It was a decrease of 0.4 percentage points from the October 2017 rate.
