Considering the very substantial growth of the economy and job numbers this year, President Trump and Congress should keep up the good work. As the late British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher said: “There are significant differences between the American and European version of capitalism. The Americans traditionally emphasize the need for limited government, light regulations, low taxes and maximum labour-market flexibility. Its success has been shown above all in the ability to create jobs, in which it is consistently more successful than Europe.” And Congress and all of us should take into account Mrs. Thatcher’s observation from experience: “The problem with socialism is that you run out of other people’s money.”

Historically and worldwide we Americans are noted as self-starters, creators and achievers, not a nation of lunkheads looking for and expecting handouts.

So to those seeking handouts, we say, act your age. Be independent and self-supporting.

To those in Congress: Get over your hatred, childishness, foolishness and ego trips. Do the job that “We the People” pay you to do. For instance, hunker down each day and do things (such as the federal budget) on time so that there is no yearly threat of government closure. You are being paid to do good for the U.S., not cause trouble.
