WASHINGTON (AP) - Police in the nation’s capital say they’ve arrested a fifth suspect in the fatal shooting of a 10-year-old girl who was killed when gunshots were fired into a crowd.

The Washington Post reports that D.C. police arrested 16-year-old Marquell Cobbs on Friday on a charge of first-degree murder while armed in the death of Makiyah Wilson. He is charged as an adult.

Police say Makiyah was on her way to get ice cream in July when four masked men leaped out of a car and began firing into a crowded apartment courtyard. Police have said she wasn’t the intended target.

Twenty-year-old Qujuan Thomas, 21-year-old Quentin “Q’’ Michals, 23-year-old and Gregory Taylor and 24-year-old Mark Tee Price have been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting.

It’s unclear if they have lawyers.
