CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - The Latest on the Charleston Classic college basketball tournament (all times local):
10:50 p.m.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker had 25 points, Ahmed Hill and Justin Robinson had 23 points apiece and No. 16 Virginia Tech rallied from 12 points down in the second half to beat No. 23 Purdue 89-83 in the Charleston Classic championship.
The Hokies (4-0) trailed 50-38 after Ryan Cline’s 3-pointer with 18:27 left, but wiped out the deficit over the next six minutes.
After Carsen Edwards tied things at 77-all with a layup with 4:21 to go, Hill hit a driving basket and got fouled to put the Hokies ahead 80-77.
Hill followed with a 3-pointer and Purdue (4-1) could not recover.
Edwards finished with 26 points, his fifth straight game with 23 or more, for the Boilermakers.

8:00 p.m.
Luka Brajkovic had 17 points and 11 rebounds as Davidson ran past Northeastern 71-59 to take third place at the Charleston Classic on Sunday night.
The Wildcats (4-1) used a 30-11 run at the start of the second half to open a big lead. Northeastern (2-3) cut the lead to single digits in the final five minutes but could not catch up.
Bolden Brace had 12 points to lead the Huskies, who have lost two straight after winning their opener here against Alabama.
Both teams play their next game against each other, with Northeastern playing at Davidson on Saturday.

4:10 p.m.
Kira Lewis Jr. had 24 points and Alabama outlasted Wichita State 90-86 to take fifth place at the Charleston Classic on Sunday.
The Crimson Tide (4-1) lost a 13-point lead and were tied at 69-all with 7 minutes left. But Lewis and Alex Reese made 3-pointers to put Alabama back out front.
Wichita State (2-3) could not recover.
Reese finished with 19 points while John Petty Jr. and Herbert Jones had 13 points apiece as the Crimson Tide won their second straight tournament game after dropping the opener to Northeastern.
Markis McDuffie scored 26 points to lead the Shockers.

1:45 p.m.
Tayler Persons scored 10 of his 29 points in overtime and Ball State held on to defeat Appalachian State 94-86 in the seventh-place game at the Charleston Classic on Sunday.
The Cardinals (2-3) held an 11-point lead with 2:43 left before the Mountaineers (1-4) rallied with a 17-6 run to tie things at 80 on Ronshad Shabazz’s layup and to force overtime.
After that, it was all Ball State. Persons fueled an 11-0 start to the extra period as the Cardinals took control.
Shabazz finished with a career-high 37 points for Appalachian State.

9:45 a.m.
No. 16 Virginia Tech will take on No. 23 Purdue for the championship at the Charleston Classic on Sunday night.
The Hokies (3-0) are playing for their first in-season tournament title in coach Buzz Williams’ five seasons.
The Boilermakers (4-0) have won a tournament crown in two of the past three seasons.
Virginia Tech defeated Ball State and Northeastern to advance to the final, with guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker scoring 21 and 20 points in the victories.
Purdue is led by guard Carsen Edwards, who’s had 23 or more points in every game. He scored 25 points in defeating Appalachian State and 29 points in the semifinal win over Davidson.
The championship is the last of four games on the final day of the eight-team tournament.
Ball State and Appalachian State start things off in the seventh-place game before Alabama faces Wichita State for fifth. Davidson and Northeastern play for third place.
