President Trump railed against the special counsel probe Thursday morning, accusing officials working on the investigation of berating witnesses without evidence.
“The inner workings of the Mueller investigation are a total mess. They have found no collusion and have gone absolutely nuts,” the president tweeted, regarding special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian collusion during the 2016 election. “They are screaming and shouting at people, horribly threatening them to come up with the answers they want.”
Mr. Trump said all those working on the case are “Angry People,” who won’t investigate any “bad acts and crimes” that he believes Democrats committed.
“They are a disgrace to our Nation and don’t care how many lives [they] ruin,” he tweeted.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions resigned the day after the midterm elections, at the president’s request. He was replaced by his own chief of staff Matthew G. Whitaker, who publicly criticized the Mueller probe before joining the Justice Department.
Many critics of the president see nixing Mr. Sessions and replacing him with Mr. Whitaker as a way to curtail the Mueller investigation.
Sens. Jeff Flake and Chris Coons wanted the Senate to pass a bill protecting Mr. Mueller and his investigation, prohibiting the president from firing him without cause.
Majority Leader Mitch McConnell shot down the idea Wednesday, arguing that doesn’t seem like the president will terminate the probe.
Mr. Mueller is reportedly wrapping up his investigation, though it’s unclear exactly when the investigation will be completely finished.
