GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Arizona Christian University plans to move from its current location in north Phoenix to the former campus of Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale.

The private nonprofit university’s announcement Wednesday says the move is made possible by a land exchange agreement under which Arizona State University is acquiring Arizona Christian’s current location.

Thunderbird in 2014 became part of ASU and relocated this year to ASU’s campus in downtown Phoenix.

Arizona Christian says it has been evaluating options for a new campus to provide its students and faculty with improved academic and sports facilities and additional space for classrooms and on-campus housing.
