BENNINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Lottery officials say someone bought a winning $1.4 million lottery ticket in Vermont.
The Bennington Banner reports the ticket was sold at a Shell gas station in Bennington.
Vermont Lottery officials say the ticket matched all five winning numbers: 2, 9, 14, 27, 26, and the Megaball number, 2, for the Nov. 10 drawing. The ticket holder has yet to claim the prize.
Gas station manager Alisha Prouty says the store will not get the monetary bonus. It will go to corporate headquarters.
The odds of buying a jackpot-winning ticket are 1 in 4.4 million.
Saturday’s winner was the second Megabucks jackpot won in the state in the past month. An $11.5 million ticket was sold in Colchester in October.
