Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee died Monday morning at age 95, his daughter confirmed to TMZ.

Mr. Lee was taken via ambulance from his home in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he later died, TMZ reported.

Mr. Lee, who co-created Marvel with Jack Kirby in 1961, reportedly saw his health deteriorate over the past year following the death of his wife of 70 years, Joan.

The “Spider-Man” co-creator is survived by his daughter, J.C., who told TMZ in a statement Monday: “My father loved all of his fans. He was the greatest, most decent man.”
