PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Workers in the Providence, Rhode Island area who lost their jobs when Papa Gino’s closed dozens of pizza parlors may not be out of work long.
Domino’s is hiring.
Nearly 20 Domino’s stores in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts have announced they are looking for about 200 employees and they hope those displaced by the Papa Gino’s closings will apply.
Domino’s in a release says it encouraging former Papa Gino’s workers to apply for jobs as customer service representatives, delivery persons and managers.
Nelson Hockert-Lotz, a Domino’s franchise owner, tells WPRI-TV he felt compelled to help, especially because the holiday season is fast approaching.
The company that owns Papa Gino’s and D’Angelo sandwich shops announced last week it was closing almost 100 stores as it reorganized.
