LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees will consider creating a new major in construction management.

The board meets this coming week in Laramie.

The proposed construction management program has been developed by the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering in UW’s College of Engineering and Applied Science.

It would provide a high-demand bachelor’s degree whose recipients are expected to receive strong interest from regional and national employers.

The trustees will also consider selecting a consultant in regard to a 30-year plan for the Wyoming Union.

The Wyoming Union opened in 1939 and received renovations and additions in 1957, 1973 and 2002.
