GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Officials have identified a woman who was struck and killed by a train in South Carolina.

Greenville County Deputy Coroner Jeff Fowler said in a news release that 57-year-old Ernestine Gina Dixon of Greenville was hit by a train around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Dixon died at the scene.

An autopsy was planned Wednesday.

The coroner’s office, the sheriff’s office and Norfolk Southern Railway officials are investigating the death.
