HOUSTON (AP) - Harris County authorities say they’ve arrested two men wanted in the San Antonio area for a series of armed robberies.
Sheriff’s deputies and Texas Department of Public Safety officers, acting on information from San Antonio police, placed a motel south of Houston under surveillance and determined a car there had been stolen in the Alamo city. Two men got into the car, went to a restaurant and were arrested as the returned to the motel.
Authorities say Badesire Bahindwa and Antrail Munerlyn, both 21, were taken into custody without incident and are awaiting return to Bexar County. Each is facing three counts of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. Officers also have recovered a handgun and merchandise taken Tuesday during the holdup of a cellphone store in west San Antonio.
