PROVINCETOWN, Mass. (AP) - A man who was involved in a single vehicle crash has been taken to an area hospital on Cape Cod.

The Cape Cod Times reports a 35-year-old man was injured during a car crash Sunday night in Provincetown.

Police responded to a 911 call shortly after 8:30 p.m. about a crash on Route 6, one of the Cape’s main roads.

The driver was unconscious as firefighters extracted him using the Jaws of Life. The unidentified man is being treated for unknown injuries at Cape Cod Hospital.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
