NBC Sports drew a 12.6 rating in D.C. for Wednesday’s Game 7 between the Washington Capitals and the Tampa Bay Lightning — making it the most-watched hockey game for the network in the market.

The old record was set in 2012 when Game 6 between the Capitals and the Boston Bruins earned an average household rating of 8.63.

The Capitals won 4-0, advancing to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time in 20 years.
