EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) - A set of quadruplets graduated at the top of their high school class and now plan to attend Michigan State University together.
Tony, Nick, Matt and Patrick Doyle, 19, are joining one of the largest freshman classes in the East Lansing university’s history in August, the Lansing State Journal reported .
“We pretty much do everything together,” said Matt Doyle, the oldest brother by one minute.
All four of the siblings from Maintou Beach earned 4.0 grade point averages every year at Onsted High School.
“We all try to one-up each other,” Patrick Doyle said.
The Doyle brothers will be a pack of four among Michigan State’s estimated 8,400 students entering as freshmen.
Patrick and Tony Doyle plan to study computer science. Nick Doyle is pursuing a criminal justice degree, while Matt Doyle will major in biology in the Honors College.
The brothers were raised as University of Michigan fans. Their parents said the siblings’ first words were “Go Blue!”
But now the quadruplets will be cheering for the Spartans and pairing up in adjoining dorm rooms in the same residence hall.
“I guess we all were Michigan fans our whole lives until we decided to go to MSU,” said Tony Doyle, the youngest brother.
The brothers have discussed forming their own intramural basketball team once they get to campus.
