PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Four companies have pledged to bring more than 2,000 permanent jobs and $800 million in private development to Rhode Island.

Democratic Gov. Gina Raimondo and the state Commerce Corp. announced the deals Monday, which are expected to add $118 million in new net revenue to the state over 15 years.

Infinity Meat Solutions LLC plans to create 700 food manufacturing and distribution jobs and build a $100 million, 200,000-square-foot processing facility.

The Commerce board approved investments in Electric Boat’s facilities at Quonset Business Park that will allow Electric Boat to accelerate the hiring of 1,300 new employees.

iXblue, a maritime navigation manufacturer, is moving more than 20 jobs to Rhode Island from Massachusetts.

In addition, (add)ventures, an established Rhode Island marketing and communications firm, is expanding and hiring additional staff.
